A morning at the beach, Shroud Cay, Bahamas
Last night, Lynda and I decided that we and the pups needed a few hours at the beach. Especially the pups. They had a lot of excess energy to burn.
We had thoughts about getting an early start, taking coffee and breakfast smoothies with us, going for walks on the long beach, throwing the ball, sitting and relaxing...
This morning, we scaled it back a bit. We had coffee and smoothies on the boat, but took a second pot of coffee (in a thermos) with us.
It was lovely. The pups had the best time. We walked the beach twice and threw the ball for them. Then we did it again after resting for an hour.
There is no cell service here, and we were out of range from Wi-Fi on Away To Me. We were disconnected for a while. The wind was blowing and the sun was bright. We sat in the lee of some trees, and the temps were perfect.
We watched this mega yacht depart ("Infinity"). It's 384 feet long. The "smaller" boat behind ("Intrepid") is its tender. It is only 226 feet long. It has a helicopter on board.
It's something else when your boat has a spare boat to haul toys and crew.
It was really refreshing just being here, not feeling pressure to prepare for something, hide from the weather, etc. We are just here, in the moment, relaxing in this lifestyle known as cruising.
