Receiving packages is an adventure

One of the more challenging aspects of boat life is receiving boat parts. Yesterday, we needed to pick up 2 packages from a marina in St. Thomas. Yes, we could have moved Away to Me, but then we would have just turned around at returned immediately to St. John. Instead, we decided to take the ferry. Easy Peasy...

Of course the winch that we use to raise and lower our dinghy decide to die the evening before. We were hoping that we would be able to find one on St. Thomas. We could not.

So, our adventure yesterday required 2 swims (to and from the dinghy to the beach), 2 ferries, 5 taxis, and 2.5 miles of walking..BUT! We have our new dinghy motor that we've been trying to have delivered for a month! SUCCESS!
