Feeling a bit sore
Wednesday morning, we did more wing boarding. Holy smoke are we sore...it was a lot of fun, though. We still aren't very good at it...lol.
We did some boat work, swapping out batteries in the dinghy and making sure they are charged up, cleaning, etc.
Then we were picked up by the water taxi to go back to Paradise Beach Club for their weekly Sip and Paint event. They provided the wood, paint, and brushes, and we did our best to create something that represents our boat.
I intended to take pictures as we progressed, but my fingers quickly got coated with paint, so I wasn't about to touch my phone until I got cleaned up. Also, we met someone at the table (Laura) who was quite fascinating, and we spent most of the time chatting with her rather than focusing on the project.
The quality of other boat signs is quite impressive! We even found the signs from two of our friends (Magistra and Estrela Do Mar).
Today is a bit slower, trying to get our aching muscles to move without complaining too much. We took the pups to the beach, and they thoroughly enjoyed running around and swimming.
This was our first time at the beach without Beau. We still miss him terribly...
I think the rest of today will be a bit more sedate for us. There are storms in the area thanks to tropical storm Philippe and a new tropical wave. The winds are very gusty, and the seas are choppy (but not rolly enough to affect the boat). Maybe we will tackle some sewing projects, maybe take a nap or two.
Hopefully tomorrow conditions will be good for snorkeling around the north side of Sandy Island.
