Happy cruise-iversary!

On this day last year, we left Ft Lauderdale and started cruising in the Bahamas.

We were joining a rally with friends on board SV Don't Blink, SV Rogue Angel, SV Lucky, and SV Kaimana, through Bimini, the Berry Islands, and the northern part of the Exumas. It was a great way for us to start our new life as full time cruisers, but with adult supervision.

Prior to this, we had done shakedown cruises along the Florida Keys, not straying too far from being able to have repairs and warranty work done easily.

It's hard to believe how far we have come, literally and figuratively.

Soon, we will be positioned to depart the Bahamas at the first weather window. We have been spending a fair bit of our time here hiding from or running from dodgy weather, so we haven't done all the things we hoped to do, but it's still been a wonderful experience. And it gives us a reason to come back and explore more.
