It Feels Like We Are On Vacation
This is such a strange thing to write. We are, after all, retired. We are full time cruisers, just as we have been since March of 2022. We are perpetually on vacation.
But somehow, anchored here near Sandy Island in Carriacou, it feels like we are on vacation.
Maybe it's the newness of the place, combined with our memories of the Bahamas and Panama, that makes it feel this way. There is so much that we have yet to explore.
Yesterday, we treated ourselves to an amazing dinner. Today we spent hours on the water wing boarding:
We still aren't very good at it, and I'm sure our neighbors got a good laugh as we fell in over and over...and over...but we are getting better every time, and we are having fun!
Tomorrow we will probably do more wing boarding, and we will go back to Paradise Beach Club for Sip and Paint. They provide a piece of scrap wood, paint, and brushes, so that we can paint our boat name or logo for them to hang up on the wall. We will also look for some of the ones that our friends did!
We will probably start heading back to Grenada on Monday, but we definitely will come back here before heading north in November.
