Light winds, clear waters
We have very light winds this morning. This is giving the water a chance to smooth out. It's a bit like floating on air.
We can easily see the anchor and chain, as well as any marine life that happens to swim past. Last night, Lynda saw a big nurse shark while paddleboarding near the boat.
I love seeing the patterns made by the chain in the sand as the wind and current move the boat around.
Clear skies, light winds, and flat waters make for a beautiful sunrise. Today promises to be warm but beautiful. These will be great conditions to fiddle with our Code 0 sail, which has been giving us trouble with not furling tightly. We will try to get pictures and video of this. Friends gave us some tips for fixing the issue, we shall see if it works!
We are also going to be checking the anchor and swing radius. Thursday and Friday we expect to see a front move through that will bring nontrivial north easterly winds with it; nothing scary, but it's best to be prepared.
