Our home in Carriacou

Our home in Carriacou
Sandy Island, with Union Island off in the distance

It's so beautiful here! It's a little rolly right now, but we think it will settle down nicely.

The water almost has that "Bahamas blue" look to it, so warm and clear and inviting.

We are anchored in 25' of water amongst 15 or so other boats (with lots of room for more boats). The sandy bottom provides impressive holding, our anchor is buried up to the roll bar.

This is the first time we have anchored in 3 months. We were out on the hard for a month, and then spent 2 months on a mooring ball. We are a little rusty, but our anchor isn't, thankfully!

This is our first use of the new bridle, as well. The old one had been chafed badly in several spots, so I made a new one myself with new hardware and line. It's holding fantastically, no signs of the spliced ends coming loose or issues with the hardware. This is a huge relief!

We miss our friends in St George's, and we were sad to leave, but we are really glad to be here, even if just for a couple of weeks. I can see us wanting to come back and spend more time here, for sure.

Tonight we rest, and tomorrow we explore!
