What's up with Dave and Lynda?

Happy February, I guess... man time has flown.
Yes, we are still in Puerto Rico, and we are thoroughly enjoying our time here. We have made new friends, joined a pickleball club and started playing 3 days a week, gone hiking, kayaking, swimming, and we have been looking for properties. We have not been bored!

Earlier this week, there was a big underwater earthquake between Honduras and the Cayman Islands, which led to a tsunami warning. Thankfully, there was no tsunami. We ended up acting as land-side support for several of our boater friends for a tense couple of hours. We are on the southwest side of Puerto Rico, and are close to the water, but would have been high enough above sea level that we weren't at risk.
Speaking of properties, we have made a verbal offer on one, and it has been accepted. Now we are trying to get a lawyer to create a purchase contract for us (welcome to the Caribbean, where everything is slow).
Today we drove up to the property with friends to walk around, explore, and to gather some of the bountiful fruit that grows there. We collected 5 passionfruit, but neglected to take pictures of them.

There are lots of coffee plants here, thousands of them. Ilya couldn't resist harvesting a few.

I don't recall what these berries are, they are kind of like raspberries. Very delicious!

Let's not forget cacao! A few very healthy plants are producing like crazy. We will probably plant a lot more of them.
A ripe cacao pod that I harvested. They are yellow when ripe.

There are a bunch of mango trees, and a few papaya trees, but the mangos aren't ripe yet, and we didn't make it up to the papayas because of the incoming rain.
It was a fun day with friends, and we are looking forward to getting the legal stuff done so we can start moving in!
