When your anchor isn't really anchoring you

When your anchor isn't really anchoring you
Our anchor at the stem of the boat

The image above shows the small portion of our anchor that is visible above the sand. It's set extremely well, such that only part of the roll bar is visible. This is exactly how we like it to be, and it gives us the best possible holding when the winds pick up.

Under the right conditions, especially, it seems, in the Bahamas, you can find yourself floating directly over your anchor. The chain itself is what is holding you in place.

We expect this to change once the winds start to pick up later today.

It's nice being able to check the anchor with so little effort!
