Weather, man...

Weather, man...
The weather route if we were to leave tomorrow

This was our view last night...

It was a long way off, far enough that we couldn't hear thunder. From our safe vantage point, it was beautiful, but any boats farther north would be experiencing varying shades of terror.

We have been watching the weather forecast and running weather routes twice a day. As one does whilst sitting at anchor waiting for an opportunity to depart.

The forecast for this morning was light winds out of the north. What we got was 15-20 knots out of the south. And rain.

Yesterday afternoon, the weather routes showed a good possibility of leaving Tuesday or Wednesday. Today, they say there will be light winds and 3 days of motoring. What will they say after this afternoon's update? Your guess is as good as mine.

Sometimes it feels like we are watching a random number generator, and trying to make life or death decisions based on the results.

What shall we do? Stay tuned to find out!
